Nigeria can shock Argentina – Ardiles

Former Argentine international, Ossie Ardiles, said that he will not be shocked if Nigeria beat Argentina at the 2010 World Cup.
Nigeria were lumped in the group B pairing alongside the two-time world champions and already Nigerian football officials are dreaming about avenging the two defeats suffered in the hands of the Argentines at the 1994 and 2002 World Cups. Ardiles declared after the draws in South Africa that Nigeria beating Argentina is something that can happen on June 12 when both teams meet in the group opener.

“Nigeria are a strong side and will feel at home in South tween now and January is too short for any coach to do any serious work, but after the Nations Cup, we have three months to prepare,” said Onigbinde who took over the team after Amodu led the team to qualify for the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan.
