Kano PSN demands pay rise

KANO – The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Kano chapter has demanded that all healthcare workers in the public sector be remunerated on equal basis.

In their resolution, shortly after an emergency meeting, PSN Kano chapter said other health workers who were in the critical segment of the healthcare delivery system deserved a pay raise.

Chairman of the Kano chapter of the organisation, Ahmed Gana, told newsmen that it behoves on government to treat all healthcare providers in the public sector equitably in the interest of industrial harmony.

Gana explained that the delivery of healthcare for the citizenry was dependent on the combined effort of pharmacists, doctors, nurses, midwives, laboratory scientists, administrators and other critical staff in the hospitals.
