Labour minister loses dad

BUJA – PRINCE  Samuel Kolawole Kayode, father of the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN), is dead.

The late Prince Kolawole died in the early hours of Tuesday, 15th September 2009, at the Garki General Hospital, Abuja, where he was receiving medical attention.

He was 84 years old.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mallam Abubakar Mohammed,  has condoled with the Minister over the demise of his father.

A statement by NDE’s Assistant- Director (Head, Information & Public Relations), Mr. Nnamdi Asomugha said  Mallam Abubakar Mohammed, who led a team of top management of the NDE on the condolence visit to the Abuja home of the Minister, told Prince Adetokunbo Kayode to bear the loss with resilience  and hope. The Director-General prayed that God would grant the Kayode family the fortitude to bear the loss noting that the late Pa Kayode lived a fulfilled life.

Responding, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode said that the family was in close consultation on the burial arrangement for their late patriarch. The late Prince Samuel Kolawole Kayode was survived by many wives, children, grand children, great grand children, in-laws and other members of the Kayode extended family. The NDE delegation later offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Pa Kayode.
