Etiaba picks PPA nomination form for N5m

ABUJA— Son of the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Mr Emeka Etiaba, yesterday picked the Progressive People’s Party (PPA) governorship nomination form to contest the gubernatorial polls slated for February 6, 2009 on the platform of the party.

Mr Etiaba, who paid the sum of N5 million in bank draft as cost of the nomination form and N250, 000 for expression of interest respectively, was optimistic that he will emerge the party’s flagbearer at the conclusion of its primarries scheduled to take place on October 8, 2009.

Etiaba who, arrived the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, in company of his wife, Chairman of Anambra state chapter of the party, advised other aspirants not to take issue of the electioneering process as a matter of life and death.

He however, told the top members of the party, including  the Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Habib Ahmed and National Secretary, Dahiru Musa Abdullai that Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu approved his movement to PPA.
