Aside the need to fill existing vacuum, HRG Nigeria is also using the opportunity to further reposition itself as the leading travel management solution provider in the country and to proactively withstand the impact of the current global financial meltdown.
An announcement made by HRG Nigeriaâ€™s Managing Director, Olufemi Adefope, said the companyâ€™s Executive Director, Operations and Administration, Mrs. Carolyn Williams has resigned her appoint from the company effective July 31, 2009.
Williams, who has put in four years in the services of HRG Nigeria resigned from the company due to family commitments, thus creating a vacuum that was promptly filled with the appointment of Hafeez Balogun who is to take charge of the companyâ€™s overall operations.
Balogun was a pioneer staff of BTI Nigeria before leaving to help start up Virgin Atlantic Airways. He joined HRG Nigeria in November 2007, and comes with several years of aviation and travel industry knowledge and experience.
Under the new arrangement, Mayowa Babatunde, Commercial Manager since November 2008, has been charged with more responsibilities, including implementing account management functions for developing and maximizing business potentials of clients and service providers. Babatunde, who previously worked with Air France-KLM as Head of Corporate Sales, will also manage and establish relationships for a portfolio of National and Multinational clients leading to new accounts and account retention.
Completing the new team is Lola Adefope, who worked with HRGâ€™s Global Head Office in the UK for the past four years in the Marketing Management department, now heads the Brand, Marketing and Quality Management Systems Unit of HRG Nigeria.
