Yuguda won’t remove Deputy — ex-Aide

BAUCHI—The   immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Isa Yuguda on Assembly Matters, Alhaji Abdulmumini Muhammad Kundak, has described the allegations that the governor is planning to impeach  his deputy as the   handiwork of the governor’s detractors.

Reacting to reports published in one of the national dailies, not Vanguard, that the governor is making moves to bribe members of the state House of Assembly to impeach the deputy governor, Alhaji Muhammad Garba Gadi, due to his refusal to join his boss in the PDP, Kundak said that it a was rumour intended to mar the cordial relationship that exists between the two.

According to him, “As somebody who has worked closely with the governor, I am very confident that he has not made such a move and he will never. The governor is a gentleman and has since indicated that he has no problem with his deputy being in a different party and it will not change their cordial working relationship.”

Kundak, advised the deputy governor to quickly make up his mind to join the governor in the PDP, saying,  “As a politician, I believe that the deputy governor has no better person to consult in taking such a decision other than the governor himself.

I think it is wrong of him to say he is going to consult others before joining the PDP because he has nobody to consult better than the governor who took him as his running mate.” By Patience Ogbodo
