KANO – A Kano serving Commissioner in charge of Land, Dr. Faruk Bibi Faruk, and his permanent secretary, Alhaji Bello Bari were Thursday arraigned before the State High court over an alleged land deals.
The suspects who were earlier investigated by the State Anti corruption Agency were dragged before Justice Nasiru Saminu of Court 22 on three count charges.
The Commissioner, Bibi Faruk, his permanent secretary Mahmud Bello Bari and a director were said to have sold an allocated plot of land to one Baba Sharu at the cost of 5 million Naira punishable sometimes in April 2016, thereby committed an offence punishable under section 315 of criminal panel code.
The prosecuting Lawyer, Rabi Ibrahim Waya also accused the suspects of breach of trust by in their capacity as public servant and in the process committed an offence punishable under section 97 of the panel code.
