Prof. Anibeze emerges SECAN President

PROF. Chike Anibeze has been elected the National President of the Society of Experimental and Clinical Anatomists of Nigeria, SECAN.  He was elected at the Annual General Meeting, AGM, of the National body of Anatomists, held this week in Abraka, Delta State. Prof Anibeze is the Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Enugu State University College of Medcine.  He is a fellow of the London Royal Society of Biology and also a fellow of SECAN

Speaking to Saturday Vanguard after his election, Prof Anibeze said his leadership would do everything possible to advance the study of anatomy in the country. “I feel great and with a deep sense of responsibility I will give the right place to anatomy education in Nigeria.

“We are poised to advance the study in the areas of advanced embryology, mortuary science, forensic and dermatoglyphic studies. We will push through the National Assembly for the revision of the anatomy act in order to give it the teeth to advance medical education in Nigeria,” Prof Anibeze said.
