CD honours DPO, 4 others for wonderful service to humanity

Nnewi—Anambra State chapter of Campaign for Democracy, CD, has honoured the Fegge Divisional Police Officer, DOP,  Mr Rabiu Garba and four others as CD ambassadors, following to their wonderful, good and superlative service to humanity.

Honouring them while celebrating the 67th universal declaration of human right, the state chairman, Mr Vincent Ezekwueme  expressed optimism that the DPO would be promoted in due course, stating that he has been able to chase away undesirable elements from the area.

He said,  “We commend the DPO for being a pride, source of inspiration and hope to the Nigerian Police Force. He remains to the best of our knowledge the most honest, selfless, hardworking and human right friendly police officer in the state.”

Those honoured with him included,  Onitsha based businessmen,  Sunday Ogbodo and Okey Ojimba.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of other honourees, the DPO attributed the increase in crime wave in the area to lack of education.

He urged CD to be firm and not  be bias in their approach when perfoming their function as there would be a lot of attacks and oppositions against them.

He said that CD and police were partners in progress and as such were expected to be above board in their actions and inaction.
