An Information Communication Technology, ICT expert, Dr. I.K. Oyeyinka, has said that Nigeria can be far better than India in technology if the right institutions and government agencies properly manage computer gurus in the country.
Oyeyinka, who is the director of Centre for Information Technology & Management, C.I.T.M., Yaba College of Technology,, expressed optimism at the nation’s ICT and advised that the energy of those with computer prowess be channeled to positive developments.
“ICT in Nigeria is at the beginning stage, which I am optimistic that soon we shall get to our expected point. Nigeria has the best brains in science and ICT. We have the resources and the human resources to make our ICT the best in the world.
“I tell you, what we have in Nigeria just need to be properly manage by the right institutions and government agencies, so that we can be far better than India. The kind of brains we have in our ICT are far better, we only need to channel their energy to positive developments.”
