Creativity: AAAN moves to improve skills, ends LAIF

It is no news in the advertising world that no Nigerian agency has ever won a major international award for creativity, either the Cannes, CLIO, ADAGE etc and other awards, (but not region awards in other countries of the world) have continuously eluded Nigerian agencies. Even though among the creative industries, advertising is unique in the country in this respect. For this reason, ad practitioners in Nigeria instituted the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) to recognise creativity, which has just ended with rewards to creative agencies.

Banking crisis stalls privatisation as prefer and reserve bidders for SACHOL cannot raise funds

Lagos mortgage law underway with public hearing

The Lagos State House of Assembly has held a public hearing to herald a bill aimed at regulating mortgage practice in the state.
In his welcome address, Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Hon. Adeola Olamilekan, said that when passed into law, the bill will encourage the growth of mortgages in property, regulate various aspects of consumers loans for acquisition of property and realisation of securities and other connected matters.
