The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi; as well as Gov. Alex Otti of Abia State, have expressed concern that the planned hunger protest could be hijacked by hoodlums.

Gov. Alex Otti of Abia has said that the State Government has not received funds from the Federal Government for the implementation of the N35,000 wage award.

The organised Labour in Abia State has issued what it described as a final seven-day ultimatum to Governor Alex Otti over the non-payment of N30,000 minimum wage and N35,000 palliative wage award approved by the federal government for workers in the state.
