Rep. Magaji Da’u, the Chairman of the House Committee on Power, has blamed reoccurring National Grid collapse on obsolete infrastructure inherited by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Thursday said  restoration of the national grid was almost completed following its collapse on Wednesday.

Electricity Generation Companies (GenCos), comprising gas-fired and hydro stations, said they released an average of 3,280 megawatts/hour of electricity into the national grid on Thursday.
