THE Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, in collaboration with the Oyo State Government have sealed off seven filling stations within Ibadan city owing to their refusal to sell petroleum products to members of the public. 

The traditional ruler of Obosi community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Chidubem Iweka has appealed to appropriate authorities to intervene in the on-going scarcity of fuel and hike in fuel pump price with a view to ameliorating the situation before it gets out of hand.

A lecturer at the Lagos State University, LASU, Dr. Sylvester Odion Akhaine,  has said that the present fuel scarcity being experienced in the country was not the change Nigerians  voted for,   describing it rather,  as structural violence against the populace.

The lingering petrol scarcity continues on Wednesday across Niger State as only one truck was allocated to the state in the past two days.

Business activities within and around Kano metropolis has been brought to its knees following debilitating scarcity of premium motor spirit in most filling stations Wednesday.
