Fuel scarcity: Obosi monarch appeals to FG, PPMC, marketers

ONITSHA—The traditional ruler of Obosi community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Chidubem Iweka has appealed to appropriate authorities to intervene in the on-going scarcity of fuel and hike in fuel pump price with a view to ameliorating the situation before it gets out of hand.

The monarch specifically called on the federal government, the PPMC and independent marketers to urgently find a lasting solution to the scarcity and astronomical increase in the pump price of the product, to enable Nigerians heave a sigh a relief during this yuletide season.

Speaking to newsmen in his palace yesterday, as the pump price rose to N300 per litre in some petrol stations and N270 in  others, Igwe Iweka expressed concern that the hike was coming at a time Christians are celebrating their Christmas.

On the November 18, 2017 governorship election victory of Governor Willie Obiano, Igwe Iweka congratulated him for the well deserved victory.
