SALES recorded by Dangote Cement plants across Africa have significantly impacted on the revenue of the company for the first quarter ended on March 31, 2017 by 74 per cent to a whopping N208.2 billion.

HAVING perfected truck assembling in its Ikeja, Lagos plant, Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited is now set to commence construction work on its truck cabin line next month. The cabin line is expected to be ready by next year and would take the local content level of Dangote Sinotruk vehicles to about 50 per cent when completed.

DANGOTE Flour has unveiled new improved pasta products called ‘Ecccellente, in bid to to grow its market equity in Africa. The re-vamped pasta, is expected to reduce the dependency on rice consumption by Nigerians.

THE divestment of Dangote FlourMill Plc from its noodles business will result in more value accretion to its shareholders, operators in the Nigerian capital market have said. According to them, selling the noodles business will allow the company to concentrate on the pasta and flour businesses where it has efficiency and competitive advantage.

DANGOTE Flour Mills, yesterday, announced it has exited its noodles business and has sold the assets of Dangote Noodles to Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie noodles. The company said in a statement that its regular business portfolio review reveal that the noodle business was not strategic to its vision.
