At the meeting was the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Delta state, Archbishop Goddowell Awomakpa, Catholic Bishop of Bomadi, Anglican Bishop of Warri, Bishop Christian Ide, Bishop Diamond Emuobor, Bishop Simeon Okah, Bishop Clement Diolu, and Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Religion, Rev Godspower Agbeduta, Rev Duke Akpososo and Rev Eddy Bebor.

The community in a statement signed by Comrade Simon Oguma, president; Alese Ziegbe, secretary and Alfred Ogudu, Public Relations Officer respectively, maintained that the said agreement in respect of community assistance, employment chances and salaries were not acceptable to them in respect of the preparation of the Egrangbene DEEP. A. location about to be handled by Beks-Kemes.

Commenting further on the issue, the state Commissioner for Works, Mr Erhauyi Obayagbonna, explained that Siluko road construction was awarded to a Lagos-based Company, Hiteck Constructions Limited, saying that the first phase of the dualization exercise from Oba market road to Texile Mill road junction would commence soon.

Onuesoke, who fielded questions from newsmen at Ughelli, Delta State, on arrival from Asaba after witnessing the tribunal proceedings, said the victory was a complete show that the judiciary still remained the hope of the common man and appealed to all those involved in the case to stop pursuing it forthwith.

According to th e tribunal, “The petitioner did not apply to call him (REC) as witness and did not come within the court practice direction. He cannot testify. We sustain the objection and we hold that PW10 cannot testify.”
