Charity as a way of life
Love is a strong bond that binds. It is a unifying factor; the true essence that brings people together and enable them live in harmony, devoid of all forms of rancour. We need love in all aspects of our lives, from the homefront to the larger society. ABUJA – THE newly-inaugurated president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Samson Ayokunle, has declared that the association under his watch would not be anti-government, but will not patronize government. How Police attacked Ahiara Catholic parishioners
THE Administration of Ahiara Catholic Diocese, Mbaise, Imo State, has deplored the invasion of the Cathedral by the Imo State Police Command, which it said unleashed a violent attack on a large number of the Catholic faithful who had gathered seeking God’s intervention in the long-festering bishopric crisis in the diocese. This follows the allegation made by the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu that youths of the diocese set up bonfires, barricaded the highway and disrupted the peace of the town when the national president of Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, Mrs. Agnes Erogunaye, visited St. Rose Catholic Church, a parish in the diocese.

Akinpelu Johnson:The fifth bishop from Nigeria’s ‘Levitical Dynasty
ONLY few non-members would have believed that the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina was capable of staging the spontaneous prolonged jubilation and praise-singing which erupted during matins early last month when the Canon Residentiary announced the election of the Provost, The Very Revd Babatunde Colenso Akinpelu Johnson as Bishop.
