Some call it the Buhari bounce. Others describe it as the Buhari effect. Yet some others say it is the Buhari aura. One thing is however crystal clear. Things have not been the same in the past 100 days in Nigeria, since Muhammadu Buhari assumed the presidency. A new sheriff has truly come to town.

SATURDAY, September 5, 2015, marks 100 days of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa in office as Executive Governor of Delta State. From all indications, Okowa hit the ground running. And this is hardly surprising. Okowa came into office with a clear vision and an action plan encapsulated in his well thought-out S.M.A.R.T agenda that is designed to usher in “Prosperity for all Deltans”.

I AM one of those , who never wished that APC, with President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB, would lead this country. It was not because we supported the ways of the ruling PDP at that time, but because we had our fears, about that change slogan, some of which are now manifesting in PMB’s government.

With the anniversary of his 100 days in office almost here, President Muhammadu Buhari is expectedly drawing critical appraisals from different quarters, the most germane being his overt preference for Northerners in positions that most people see as influential.

IN the height of his very public fallout with then President Jonathan, Gen. Obasanjo wrote in an 18-page open letter that one of his grouse with Jonathan was that the latter had set up himself as the president of only the Ijaws. I wonder how Obasanjo is feeling this morning after Buhari unveiled a kitchen and store-room cabinet of 100% Northern males.
