THE court has always been the last hope of the common man and in any democratic society the judiciary is the arbiter and adjudicates on any dispute between parties. At the end of the last gubernatorial elections in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, winner of the election.

I love this country with every fiber of my being.

For three generations before me my forefathers, including my great grandfather, my grandfather and my father, have made solid and notable contributions to the developmemt of this country in both the private and public sectors.

WITH the Edo, Ondo and Anambra States governorship election unfolding in that order, it promises to be a year – long outing for the showy Nigerian politician especially the breed that pride themselves as belonging to the gubernatorial class. On the heels of the close election that just brought Godwin Obaseki to office in Edo State, the Ondo polls over, the Anambra state governorship poll, from various indications, would generate greater fireworks. The parade has begun in earnest and the Governors in waiting have launched their activism with traditional fanfare.

MANY Nigerians are pleased that President Muhammadu Buhari has assembled a formidable team of technocrats and experienced administrators to help him in steering the ship of state and deliver the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.

THE current economic crisis, an exposé on the predicted disabilities and inhuman dispositions of neo liberal policies, especially its role in developing economies just as it is in all sectors, seem to be one that will ignite, if it has not already ignited a revolt that will sure upturn global fortunes for the better.
