Nigeria is so ‘serious’ a nation that satire is as bad a ‘crime’ as treason. Counting the torrents of condemnation against Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s harmless satirical comment to the satirical post of Senator Shehu Sani, one could see why there’s always little energy left to deal with serious issues.

A recent article written by one Mohammed Saleh Gombe with the above caption betrayed the desperation of the writer and his sponsors to the extent that they fatally shot themselves in the foot while embarking on that futile and puerile effort at denigrating the governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, with an inordinate view to vitiate his good works just to further their own selfish political ambition.
