A MISTAKEN new dance of reduction, nameless in its taxonomy – as it cannot be named Owigiri, Filete, Egebu, Wabu, Wolowolowo or Agene in Ijaw or any other language – but carrying dance steps quaintly familiar – was recently created by Oweilaemi the uncrowned IYC president II. The echoes of this dance drawn from his celebrated two polices  of displacement and categorical pronouncement have been cleverly extended to the commander of JTF, Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman, whose JTF has been branded the producer and supplier of the elixir for the endless illegal oil bunkering in the Niger Delta. Because Oweilaemi, upon refined data scientifically analyzed, has discovered the illegal oil bunkering perpetrated by JTF in the Niger Delta, the discovery ingenuity, skill, of Christopher Columbus who discovered the “New World” of the Americas in 1492, and Mungo Park who discovered River Niger, pales in insignificance when juxtaposed with the discovery capacity of the IYC president II.

Finally, President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2018 Appropriations Law. The signing which happened on June 20 has generated a lot of controversies owing particularly to the observations which the president made at the signing ceremony, observations which were of great concern to patriotic Nigerians who wish for the country to run her processes as democratically possible as provided by our constitution.

The symbolic revalidation by President Muhammadu Buhari of the 12 June 1993 presidential election, callously annulled by the military dictator General Ibrahim Babangida, caught many by surprise. Some might even be experiencing a nervous breakdown. 

Members of the Fulani elite groups who are, in fact, the real owners of the animals that the herders move around for grazing, should do something to improve the conditions of these poor herders they are exploiting

The first response we expect this statement to elicit from the gasping opposition party in Edo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is that the Edo State government is trying to attack an innocent Edo citizen, for genuinely exposing the suffering of the masses, in order to bring them succor. Far from it.
