One was Pat (later Professor) Utomi who was the Assistant General Manager of Volkswagen Nigeria and the other was Gbenga Daniel who then was the Deputy Managing Director of Schroeder West Africa. This was in November 1989.

The honorarium we paid them, 500 Naira to each of the 5000 agents, a last-minute unexpected manna from heaven courtesy of a former senator, a retired general and a close friend, became an insult to their psyche. 

THOUGH the 2019 general elections may have come and gone, history would no doubt record the exercise as a peculiar one. This may not be unconnected with the negatives that overshadowed the intent of the elections nationwide. Human epochs are replete with great men and women in the various fields who defined and continue to define their peculiar histories with the magnitude of their accomplishments.
