There is palpable fear in Abia state and that fear is justified, given the activities of some politicians bent on not only foisting their authorities like a colossus on the people but also controlling the entire political structures of the state.

The game of politics is always changing and it always boils down to interests.   This is why politicians are considered untrustworthy, shifty and dodgy.   When politicking, candidates are given allowance as politicians, immediately they win, the allowance goes and nobody accepts their politicking anymore.   They have become government who must not twist or turn and who must be forthright including fulfilling their promises from the time of the twist and turn.

Those who were young (men-about-town) in the 80s will remember the 1979 hit track by McFadden & Whitehead, titled Ain’t no stopping us now. The lyrics goes thus:
