Technology has become a global phenomenon, cutting across all businesses in the developed and developing economies of the world. Its importance in enhancing the growth of small businesses, which often are the drivers of economic growth is very obvious. Mr. Adim Isiakpona, the Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Intel West Africa in this interview with Emeka Aginam explained how Intel seeks to offer Nigerian small and medium businesses( SMBs), with technology solutions to help grow their business. Stating that Africa is their growth market , he said SMEs should leverage on technology to boost their their businesses.

Latest study by Ericsson Mobility Report has indicated that 70 percent of the world’s population will be using smartphones in 2020 , while and 90 percent will be covered by mobile broadband networks.

Sixty-eight percent of all the new internet data subscriptions on telecom networks in Nigeria in April were made on Nigeria’s National Telecommunications Carrier, Globacom, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said.

“He should re-enact presidential committes on sectors like that of tourism, which he himself will be the head. By doing that we will rub minds and together appreciate the problems and solutions.He should also implement the tourism blue prints and also establish the tourism bank which will always see reason to come to the aid of tourism practitioners whenever the need arises. These little steps if taken, will surely bring this economy to its glorious past” he added.

We are already facing the next wave of the Internet – the Internet of Everything (IoE) –Africa needs to prioritise ICT development if it is to benefit from the new experiences and efficiencies that the IoE will bring,” Ogunlade added.
