One of the participating countries in next month’s FIFA U-17 World Cup holding in Nigeria, United Arab Emirates (UAE) have threatened to withdraw from the competition, citing poor facilities at the Kano centre.

Last week former Flying Eagles coach, Tunde Disu told Saturday Vanguard sports that the Green Eagles could still qualify ‘miraculously’ for the 2010 World Cup and urged Nigerians to go into serious prayers for the team.

Come December 12th 2009, a 18 hole golf course belonging to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) will be commissioned by Osun State governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who is also the chairman of the Nigeria Golf Federation. Governor Oyinlola will not be alone as governors Emmanuel Uduaghan, his Edo State counterpart Adams Oshiomole and Senate President David Mark will be part of the commissioning and launching of the only 18 holes golf course in Edo State.
