The All Progressives Congress APC said it has investigated the circumstances surrounding Tuesday’s invasion of the National Assembly by security operatives, and accused the Senate President, Bukola Saraki of sponsoring the plot to foment violence as part of his last-minute bid to halt his impeachment.

Youths, on the platform of Benue Youths Forum, BYF, have raised the alarm over a purported plot to kidnap the Clerk of Benue State House of Assembly, Dr. Torese Agena, to compel him into arranging a sitting of the suspended eight members of the House to commence impeachment move against Governor Samuel Ortom.

DEPUTY National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Prince Duran Odeyemi, has cautioned the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies against moves to use their men to harass and intimidate PDP leaders especially the governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke. The party was of the opinion that some powerful members of the ruling party are using policemen to harass Adeleke over ‘largely unsubstantiated allegations regarding his certificate’.

THE Action Democratic Party, ADP, Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti has described the party as home to all politicians of progressive leanings in the country.
