FORMER president Olusegun Obasanjo has commended the courage and doggedness of Mrs Florence Seriki as an entrepreneur in the nation’s fledgling IT industry despite of gruelling challenges, saying that the local content policy, if well implemented, will drive spontaneous growth of the national economy.

Telecom analysts have said that the world mobile subscription will hit the all time high of 9.3 billion by 2018. This they said is as a result of the explosion in the number of mobile technology users, especially in Africa.

EVERY time I pause and think about the state of affairs in my dear country, I simply end up despairing, even though I know I should be optimistic. Indeed, I am optimistic, for when there is life, there is hope. It is this hope that one day, Nigeria will get it right that keeps me, and I guess, millions of others going.

As part of the federal government effort to chart a new course for the emergence of a digital economy, the National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) will soon come out with a comprehensive document on public key infrastructure blueprint for Nigeria.

Technology and creative imagination are currently pushing the limits for innovative ideas to reality – in search of realizing the core objective for human existence by creating an efficient and safe transportation model for securing the environment and future of humanity.
