The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit (MSSN Lagos) has trained about 5000 students at its just-concluded Holiday Training Camp (HTC) 2024.

Winners have emerged in the maiden Hadith Competition sponsored by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema in Prophet’s (Muhammad) Hadith which was held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the Abuja National Mosque.  

Alhaji AbdulRauf highlighted the significant presence of NASFAT in various UK cities, including Dartford, Millwall, Thamesmead, Woolwich, Barking & Dagenham, Grays Thurrock, Milton Keynes, Manchester, and Newcastle. He expressed NASFAT’s readiness to work closely with the new administration to enhance community relations and support initiatives that benefit both Muslims and the wider society.

As the return leg has entered its 21st day, today July 12, over 40,000 Nigerian pilgrims have returned home.

Abubakar said that the governor allowed the management to run the agency throughout the pilgrimage, adding that “the last batch of pilgrims who returned were 56 and they came onboard Max Air, most of them officials.”

“We are committed to promoting religious tolerance and understanding through our sensitization programs. By collaborating with local councils and the government, we aim to empower our members and foster a community spirit that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

“Just like fasting during the month of Ramadan and observing our daily prayers, Zakat payment is also compulsory for Muslims. It is for us as Muslims not to abdicate our responsibility but understand that we need to share with the poor and needy in our midst from what Allah has blessed us with.”

“It was an encouraging journey with adequate preparations by the Saudi authority to ensure that all pilgrims had a hitch-free exercise and the effort of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON was also tremendous, as they put up a good spirit which made the exercise a huge success.”

“MSSN Lagos Intellectual Competitions (LIC) hold significant value for the broader community, fostering healthy competition and cultivating critical thinking, public speaking skills, and research abilities among students.”

Central to this year’s achievements was the leadership of Mal Jalal Ahmad Arabi, the Chairman/CEO of the commission. His vision for transforming the Hajj industry aligned seamlessly with the aspirations of Nigeria’s commander-in-chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bringing a wave of innovative policies and operational changes.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Old Pen Cinema parish in Lagos, has tasked religious organisations on collaborating with government to positively transform their communities.

“They have transmitted to us the beginning of the process. They have opened the portal and e-wallet. They want that as of September 1, 2024, to start preparatory meetings, meetings with service providers, accommodation and appointment of air carriers.”

“Prophet Yahya was known to be a good and obedient son, Prophet Ibrahim was popular for his strong faith in Allah and Prophet Muhammad was an epitome of good behaviour.”
