Five eminent Nigerians have been awarded with doctorate degrees by Green Hills University (GHU) Denmark, Africa Campus, for outstanding accomplishments in their respective disciplines.

Residents of five villages in Yabo Local Government Area of Sokoto State got the shock of their lives at the weekend when a wind storm struck and destroyed 110 houses. Presently the residents are still counting their losses, especially in the villages that were completely razed by the raging storm.

The incident happened on the 12th of April, 2013 at about 10pm; when the victim identified as Aminat Ajala, a fashion designing apprentice at Ebute-Metta, returned from work; tired and hungry only to discover that there was no food in the house.

A 30-year-old security guard, Charles Olise, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court over alleged forgery and impersonation. Olise, who was docked before Magistrate Dan Oni is facing a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.
