How two Chinese nationals were arrested for illegal mining in Niger State

Two Chinese national,LU Xiaoyong and Huaiming Geng have been arrested by the Department of State Service,DSS, Niger State command for their alleged involvement in illegal mining in the state. Also arrested along with them are 11 Nigerians including one Mohammed Bello who had been serving as their collaborator while 10 others were employed by the foreigners as labourers.

A 26-year-old young man, Oluwasoji Nasiru and six others were yesterday remanded in prison custody by a Lagos Magistrate’s court sitting in Ikeja over alleged attempted murder and armed robbery. The other suspects are Oluwafemi Taiwo, 22; Tajudeen Akiju, 22; Kamoru Nurudeen, 19; Abayomi Nurudeen, 19; Ibrahim Toheeb, 19 and Gantonu Senami, 22.
