In recent times, Ogun State seems to be under attacks by ritualists who were on the loose in some parts of the state. The recent discovery of their dens and subsequent arrest of the suspected operators and their accomplices reveal that both the dead and the living are not safe in the hands of the ritualists.

In terms of crime, Ogun State could be compared with Lagos State because of proximity to the borders and other countries. In fact, police authorities go extra length in making a choice of their officers that man these states. Today, Ogun, just like Lagos State, can boast of a capable hand as their Police helmsman. The Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, has, arguably, done well and can say, the state is ‘a no-go-area’ for criminals.

Palpable fear has gripped residents of Aji Community in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, over the alleged killing of a middle-aged man, Obinna Onoja, by people suspected to be members of the village neighbourhood watch.

This admonition is coming on the heels of the arrest of a 32-year-old man who allegedly impersonates prominent Nigerians on facebook, using the medium as adverts for business transactions.

IT was a bloody Sunday in a sleepy community called Azagba, in Uhumnwonde Local Government Council of Edo State, when suspected thugs stormed the community and unleashed mayhem on the people. Three people were shot dead while several others are receiving treatment in hospital. Residents have fled due to fear of fresh attack.
