Kenneth Okolie has described working with Shirley Igwe and Yvonne Jegede as wonderful but the most interesting statement he made to Potpourri was the one concerning his celebrity crush. The former Mr Nigeria and first runner-up Mr World blatantly admitted he used to have a crush on Nse Ikpe-Etim and Ufuoma Ejenobor, adding that the crush for Ufuoma has never dissipated.

“I have forgiven Prince Ekeh because he came to apologise to me that he’s sorry for all that happened. If he hadn’t come to beg me, I wouldn’t have let it go. However, as far as taking him out of the country again is concerned, my brother, that one is out of the question. If someone tries to shoot you the first time, and you survive, would you want the person to shoot you again?” she asked rhetorically.

The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards which held penultimate Saturday has left us many talking points. Sexual abuse, prostitution and unresolved murder, are the themes explored in Charles Uwagbai’s Black Silhouette. Black Silhouette tells the story of Maro Oti who is about to make history as the first female Governor in Nigeria. Despite her husband’s disapproval, she fixes an appointment with internationally acclaimed biographer, Eric Mobumba and requests that he writes her memoir. Eric Mobumba is elated at the opportunity but his excitement however starts to wane as Senator Maro’s tale of her past reveals a life of sexual abuse from childhood, prostitution as a teenager and an unresolved murder case.
