On grounds of ill-health
It is said that the Special Adviser on Information and Strategic to the Lagos State Government, Mr. Segun Ayobolu, voluntarily withdrew his services on grounds of ill-health earlier this week. It warms the cockles of my heart that he is a kindred spirit, in the sense that he runs a backpage column every month in the Alausa Alert newspaper.
budget venue blues
The recent (or current) issue of where the Annual Budget should be presented by the President of the Federation, Alhaji Umar Yar’Adua, might be described as uncalled for

There were speculations that the verdict of the Court of Appeal on the matter of the Anambra State Governorship case involving Dr. Andy Uba, could create a state of anarchy in the State, if it was not properly handled. Of course, it definitely points the way, but it has no loud announcement to make yet about our arrival.
*out of the mouth of babes
It was one of those days that start off normally and then suddenly acquire an aberration with which they stamp their imprint on history. We had never experienced a trade dispute that led to a strike before. Anyone who had heard about it was left to only imagine it.
To make Nigeria lovable
I LOVE MY COUNTRY, I NO GO LIE NA INSIDE AM I GO LIVE AND LEAVE By Bisi Lawrence We used to sing that and profess to believe in it. But come on, now!… I mean, why then the long queues at the foreign embassies where you swallow insults on the visa line?

Women! Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Honourable Member of the House of Representatives and former (?) media personality, led the chorus and the whole house joined in.
