After trying to be president three  times and failing, Buhari must be wondering now whether it would not have been better to have lost again and leave Nigerians dreaming of the wonders he would have performed.

As a minimum, Nigerians must be told who will be the beneficiaries of these programmes, how they were selected, where they can be located in order to verify the claims by government about performance later. Those claiming to fight corruption must be prepared to be totally open

But, something interesting occurred two months after the Enugu and Agatu mass murders. Five herdsmen were reported missing in one of the Southeast states. Suddenly, security forces swamped the area in search of the missing herdsmen; villagers were interrogated and some detained briefly. The difference is clear

The All Progressives Congress, APC, the ruling party led by the President of Nigeria has not been able to hold its own convention. The President of Nigeria cannot even rule his own party

We need leaders whose background and previous experience would have prepared them to transcend their narrow ethnic, religious and class affiliations
