SEC joins EFCC, CBN, NDIC to investigate banks
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has joined Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to investigate banks and other companies engaged in carrying out capital market transactions.Ag. Director General of the SEC, Ms. Daisy Ekineh revealed this to newsmen in Abuja.
Lagos State lotteries go On-Line
Lanre Gbajabiamila, Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Lotteries board has announced a transition of all lottery operations in the state to be on-line. This was made known in a notice signed by him. In his words he said that in compliance with section 13 of the Lagos State Lotteries law as amended all lottery operations within the state should be online by the 15th of September 2009.
