NIWA moves to improve waterways security
IN bid to attract private investments to enhance the nation's Blue Economy initiative, the management of the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, has commenced moves to improve security on waterways across the country.
Pilots’ Footage Allowance: NPA gives in to pressures, begins payments
THE Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Ms Hadiza Bala Usman, has said that the authority has agreed to pay footage allowances to its marine pilots. The allowance is paid to marine pilots for successful delivery of vessels pilotage to berths from the territorial waters.

This meeting came on the heels of an earlier one held at the Corporate Headquarters of Nigerian Shippers’ Council Apapa in July.
