Since Sunday, the 17th November, 2013 when the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the Anambra State governorship election inconclusive and directed that a supplementary election should be held in 211 polling units across the state to determine the eventual winner of the election, the state has been awash with intrigues, propaganda and, sometimes, blackmail by politicians to get their views across.

Three major parties which contested the November 16 gubernatorial election in Anambra State yesterday expressed disappoint-ment with the statement by the National Chairman of INEC, Professor Attahiru Jega that the commission had no sufficient information of alleged malpractices that could led to the cancellation of the entire election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday fixed November 30, for the conduct of supplementary governorship election in Anambra State.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected Friday’s announcement by INEC to hold supplementary election in Anambra State on Nov. 30th.

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Chairman Professor Attahiru Jega, Friday, said that INEC will conduct the supplementary election that will conclude the Anambra gubernatorial poll on 30th, November.
