The National President of Ginger Association of Nigeria, Mr. Gagarin Madaki, has said that organic method of farming Ginger was the best way of addressing challenges faced by ginger farmers in the country.

Although Nigeria is ranked number one in cassava production globally, she imported about $54,200 in cassava in 2022, becoming the 121st largest importer of cassava in the world.

FOLLOWING the infiltration and criminal activities of ‘political farmers’ in the agricultural sector, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Sunday, disclosed moves to identify and capture data of genuine farmers in partnership with the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, for accurate records and well directed interventions. 

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Kefas Agbu, has said his administration has commenced the remodeling of livestock farming and production in order to improve local economy and strengthen the livestock value chain across the state.

AS Nigerians hit the streets to protest hunger, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen Abubakar Kyari, Wednesday, disclosed that in 180 days food prices will crash.
