Soroptimist International a global movement of accomplished business women and professionals dedicated to rendering quality community-based and pro-poor services held a change of insignia and investiture of soroptimist Joyce Smart-Popoola as president 2010-2012, at Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was chaired by, Mr Phillip Oduoza, The Group GM/ CEO UBA, Senator Rasheed Ladoja was the special guest of honour.

Mrs. Popoola in her inaugural address, thanked the club for the confidence reposed in her to lead the club for the next two years, she said it is a great responsibility that requires commitment and dedication to the ideals of the club.

She marshaled out what she hopes to achieve in the next two year as;( a) hospital for sick people in Lagos, (b) a home for critically ill children in Surulere and (c) purchase of 6 wheel chairs for donation to homes and hospitals and many more laudable projects.
