Ndionyenma bags NIMN Fellowship award

SALES and Distribution Controller, Lornamead Group, makers of Tura brand of personal care products,  Mr. Sam Ndionyenma,  has been inducted  fellow of the National  Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, NIMN.

Ndionyenma who holds MBA in Marketing from the University of Jos, was at various times the General Sales Manager of Unilever and later the Head of New Business before joining the Lornamead Group in 2007.

Speaking under the  theme, NIGERIA CAN, President of NIMN, Lugard Aimiuwu, who presented the award in the company of other Council Members of NIMN, described it as a celebration of excellence and the triumph of value.

According to him: “Today’s event is a celebration of excellence, the triumph of value, personified by our Fellows, our Achievers, our Life Members, and our Icons. These are the best in the world, a post meltdown globe, competing increasingly on capabilities.”

Chief Aimiuwu said the global soap opera and the economic meltdown have exposed to the world what marketing had always known – that economic fortunes are driven by market performance.

Also speaking, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jubri Martins Kuye, said Marketing is the driving force of any economy and contributes to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and therefore the Institute should help to reposition the national economy to meet the demands of globalization.

He commended the Institute for overcoming its initial challenges and for the opportunity of honouring those who have contributed immensely  to the growth of the marketing profession in Nigeria.

On his part, Ndionyenma, said the Award was a vindication for hard work and commitment to the values of marketing.
“I see the award as a vindication of many years of hard work and total commitment to this profession. It is a crown of success after many days of toil,” he declared.
