AKURE—THE estranged wife of the former Deji of Akureland, Olori Bolanle Adepoju yesterday appealed to the Ondo State government to forgive her husband and reinstate him.

This was coming as the state government has directed the next ruling house, Ojijigogun to commence the filling of the vacant seat of the Deji of Akureland.

The ruling house is expected this week to nominate candidates to the Kingmakers for screening and selection.

Prince Adesina was deposed and banished to Owo town by the state government for engaging his Olori in street fight.

At a briefing yesterday, Olori Bolanle said she had reconciled with her husband and wish to put the ugly past behind her.

According to her, the decision was based on the outcome of series of reconciliatory meetings between her family and that of her husband which took place in Owo and Akure.

She explained that her husband’s family resolved during one of the meetings to withdraw the controversial statement made by the former Deji which disowned her children as potential members of the royal family.

The Olori then appealed to all the Queens in Yoruba land to intervene and prevail on the state government to rescind its decision on her husband.

Olori Bolanle said she had instructed her lawyers to withdraw the suit she instituted against her husband from the court.
