Osun State born beauty, Bunmi Ademokoya, was chosen to open the prestigious Fashion Week which took place during the World Cup in South Africa. Bunmi, who did several shows, opened the week with Paris-based award winning designer, Zuly Bet. The award winning designer, who was named and awarded the Creator of the Year 2005 by New York Times, stated that he was proud to be an African and looked forward to working with Bunmi again.

Bunmi Ademokoya also closed the Nelson Mandela Award Dinner wearing a KLUK CGDT (South Africa’s acclaimed designer) in the presence of world stars like Leonardo Decaprio, Morgan Freeman and k’naan.

She was also among selected models that graced the Africa Fashion Awards where Nigerian singers like Sasha and Naeto C did Nigeria proud.

The Nigerian trio of Bunmi Koko, Duro Olowu and Ituen Bassey (all designers) won awards in different categories while Bella Naija won the Best Fashion Blog 2010.

Bunmi Ademokoya was discovered at the 2007 edition of Nigeria’s Next Super Model and went on to win the ‘Best Model of The World 2007’. She was booked by her agent in Africa, Isis Models.
