Arsenal star Mesut Ozil wants a £330,000-a-week deal to move to La Liga giants Barcelona.
The German international has told Barca he will only sign for them if his wage demands can be met.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Ozil would be on an income of £17million gross per year and will also ask for a sizeable signing-on bonus.

Barca are plotting a £17m January swoop for Ozil amid a stall in talks to extend his Emirates Stadium deal as they look for an alternative to Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

But the Catalan giants are currently locked in renewal talks with Lionel Messi, who already takes up a huge percentage of their budget and would get a wage hike in order to keep him at the Nou Camp.

Barca however, remain interested, and are prepared to offload Arda Turan in efforts to make room on their wage bill for Ozil.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be open to the situation, too, with Ozil only having eight months left on his deal.

Wenger has not received any indication from Ozil that he will be extending his stay and will want to avoid allowing a player he signed for £42.5m walk out the door for free.

And he may have already found a ready-made replacement for the 29-year-old in Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka.
