Science and Cultural ‘education’ remain the focal operational areas of NUSRET.Akkanoglu made this assertion in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital during a visit to National President of National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations, NACOMYO, Kamaldeen Akintunde, esq.

The NUSRET ‘envoy’ who was on familiarization of his operational jurisdiction which included   South West and Kwara noted that education was paramount and central to human existence and enjoined Islamic groups to have education as a cardinal programme and project, and in pursuance of their lofty aims and objectives.

The NACOMYO President, Kamaldeen Akintunde while responding stated that the familiarization initiative was a step in the right direction as it would afford him a ‘geographical’ scope and ‘diagnosis’ of his jurisdiction.

He identified partnership and collaboration between and across groups as strategic initiatives to nation building.Akintunde said that knowledge was basic and foremost in Islam, hence, its state Chapters were encouraged and have established schools where both Islamic and western education were taught.

The visit took the foreign official to madrasats (formal Quranic schools) in Abeokuta and environs among others.
