Chief Press Secretary to Bayelsa State Government, Mr. Dofie Ola, has dismissed reports suggesting confusion over who is the state deputy governor.

Some reports had claimed that the Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt had re-instated Mr. Peremobowei Ebebi as deputy governor thus stopping the recognition of Mr. Werimipre Seibarugu who was sworn-in last week.

However, Ola, in a statement in Yenagoa, said nowhere in the two court orders on the case filed by Ebebi was he supposed to be re-instated or Seibarugu restrained from being sworn-in.

He said the order given by the court in respect of Ebebi’s motion was that the appellant / applicant has 14 days to “file and serve the respondent brief of argument”.
