As opinions continue to be divided over the propriety of President Goodluck Jonathan running in next year’s general election, a nascent organisation, the Goodluck Grassroot Movement (GGM) has warned politicians to desist from overheating the polity on the matter, which it says is “an unconstitutional contraption”.

The group, in a statement in Abuja said  the issue of who leads the country should be based on merit and track record and not on where a candidate comes from, pointing out that in the present circumstance.

  “Jonathan remains the best man to steer the ship of the nation”, it said through  its National Secretary Otunba Wasiu Banjo.
