The women of Laboulousegha community in Burutu LGA, Delta State, have given a contracting firm working with Agip Oil Company Limited and Beks Kimse (Nigeria) Limited, operating in Ogriagbene ‘Deep A Location’, 14-day ultimatum to settle with them, or their operatiopns would disrupted.
A statement signed by Mrs. Joy Ziegbe, chairman and Pudigha Oguma, secretary in Ughelli yesterday said the community is an autonomous community and demanded to be treated as such; noting that the company has been operating in the community since early 2010, yet has not recognised the women organ.
