THE Nigerian Journalists for Change, NJC, has named former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige; Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Convener of Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG and former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai; Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mrs Hadiza Bala Usman; Senator Godswill Akpabio, among others  as recipients of its National Merit Award 2016.

A statement by the Project Director, NJC National Merit Award/Book Launch, Mr Walter Ukaegbu, said the personalities are to be honoured at an impressive ceremony slated for March 16, 2017, at the Rockview Hotel, Abuja.

The event will be chaired by Ezekwesili, while the publisher of Daily Sun newspaper, Dr Uzor Orji Kalu, is expected to be the special guest of honour.
