ONITSHA—A member of the Board of Trustees, BoT of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has called on the aggrieved members of the state  to drop their grievances against the suspended state chairman of the party, Chief Norbert Obi and work   towards returning Governor Willie Obiano for a second term in office in 2017.

Responding to the complaints of the state working committee of the party in the state,   led by its state Deputy chairman, Hon. Tony Omeligwe Elee, against Obi, Ezeonwuka noted that as a BoT member, he was so incapacitated that he could not take sides with any of the factions.

The state deputy chairman, Elee and the state secretary, Tony Ifeanya had during the visit to Ezeonwuka at his Rojenny Games Village, Oba, accused Obi of indulging in anti-party activities and running the party as his personal property.

Elee and Ifeanya therefore maintained that Obi would remain suspended until he is replaced with a vibrant party faithful from Anambra South senatorial zone where Obi comes from, to complete his tenure.

But in his reaction, Ezeonwuka noted that although the state working committee was right in their complaint against the suspended Obi, he could not give a tacit approval for their request to dispense with the chairman or not because he, as a BoT member is just an individual in the midst of other party leaders”.
